Current Courses
Courses in quantum information have been offered at UW since the 1999-2000 academic year. The number and breadth of courses have increased substantially in recent years.
We offer an introduction to quantum information processing at the undergraduate (CO481/CS467/PHYS467) and graduate (AM871/CO681/CS667/PHYS767) level, an introduction to the implementation of QIP at the graduate level (PHYS771/ECE770) and many other advanced courses specializing in various aspects of quantum information, including Theory of Quantum Information, Quantum Error Correction and Fault Tolerance, Quantum Algorithms, Implementation of Quantum Communication, Nanoelectronics for QIP, Quantum Electronics and Photonics, Open Quantum Systems, and new future offering such as Quantum Communication Theory, Spin-based QIP, Applied Quantum Cryptography, and Quantum optics and atomic physics for QIP.
These courses can be taken as part of a wide range of graduate and undergraduate programs offered at UW.
