Panel Discussion, Open House 2009
![]() Open House 2007 Overview
The Institute for Quantum Computing is pleased to announce our third annual open house. On Saturday, October 17, 2009, we will be welcoming the public to our home at the University of Waterloo's Research Advancement Centre, to learn about the cutting-edge field of quantum information. At 1:00 p.m., some of the researchers featured in the forthcoming documentary "The Quantum Tamers" will participate in a panel discussion on quantum information, moderated by IQC faculty member Prof. Joseph Emerson. The panel discussion is free to attend, but seats must be reserved in advance. Following the panel discussion, IQC's labs will be open for viewing, and representatives of our theoretical and experimental groups will be on hand to discuss their work. Registration is not required for the open house portion of the event, which will take place from 2:30 to 5:30.We hope you join us on October 17th.
