Chemistry
The Chemistry Department has over 33 faculty members, with thriving research programs in the areas of physical, theoretical, organic, inorganic, polymer, bio, and analytical chemistry, as well as nanotechnology and quantum computing. More information about research at the Department of Chemistry is available here. IQC faculty member Jonathan Baugh is appointed in the Department of Chemistry and cross-appointed in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. IQC associate member Bill Power, and IQC affiliate member Pierre-Nicholas Roy are appointed in the Department of Chemistry. The graduate program is administered by the Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry, one of Canadas largest and most successful graduate schools. The M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programs include course work and a long-term research project in the laboratory of a Centre faculty member. A thesis is submitted and defended at the end of the degree program. A part time course-based M.Sc. program is also available. Information on the graduate program is available here. |
