Yingkai is a Masters student in the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization in the University of Waterloo. His advisor is Debbie Leung, and he is interested in studying Quantum Codes and Quantum Communication problems. He graduated from California Institute of Technology in 2007 with a Bachelor degree in Physics. During his stint in Caltech, he did summer projects under the supervision of Thomas Tombrello, John Preskill and Debbie Leung. Before his undergraduate life, he was in Singapore all the while.
