Jeyran received her B.Sc. in electrical engineering in 2005 from Tehran Polytechnique (Amir-Kabir University of Technology), Tehran, Iran. She joined the electrical and computer engineering department and the institute for quantum computing (IQC) at the University of Waterloo, in September 2007, as a master student. Her research is about the quantization of electrical circuits including RLC circuits, microwave transmission lines and superconducting devices such as Josephson junctions.
