Institute for Quantum Computing
Biography Adrian Lupaşcu received his BSc and MSc degrees from University of Bucharest, Romania, in 1999 and 2000 respectively. The subject of his MSc was scanning probe microscopy studies of thin polymer layers deposited on metallic surfaces. He then joined Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands, where he obtained his PhD title in 2005. His PhD work involved experiments on dispersive measurement of superconducting qubits. During a short postdoc, he continued his research in Delft, on quantum measurement and decoherence of superconducting qubits. He is presently holding a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. He is working on the investigation of superconducting atom-chips, Rydberg atoms, and superconducting charged particle detectors. He joined IQC in March 2009. Research
