Austin Fowler
Biography Austin completed his PhD in Physics under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Lloyd Hollenberg at the University of Melbourne, Australia, in March 2005. His thesis touched on a number of topics starting with the simulation of quantum gates implemented using single phosphorous atoms in silicon as suggested by Bruce Kane, then quantum error correction, Shor's algorithm, and fault-tolerant computation. He is now a post-doc with Assoc. Prof. Frank Wilhelm working on superconducting qubits and quantum dots. |
