The Faculty of Mathematics and the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo invite applications for one or more tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the area of quantum information.
In addition to a faculty appointment in a department or school within the Faculty, the candidate will receive a teaching reduction and an additional stipend for a period of 5 years, with the possibility of renewal.
A Ph.D. and significant evidence of excellence in research and the potential for effective teaching are required.
Responsibilities will include the supervision of graduate students, as well as some teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Effective date of appointment: July 1, 2010.
