May 27-31, 2007, University of Waterloo, BFG Buidling, Seminar Room
Conference Details
The goal of this summer school is to introduce a general audience of computer scientists,
physicists, and mathematicians with little or no background in quantum information processing to
the exciting and growing field of quantum information science . This is the 7th in a series of summer
schools that have been held in Canada.

The school will consist of five consecutive days of talks that cover the basics of quantum information processing as well as more advanced topics, including:
• Quantum information theory
• Quantum algorithms
• Quantum cryptography
• Quantum error correction
• Implementation: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
• Implementation: Superconducting qubits
• Quantum communication

This workshop is part of the Taming the Quantum World series, being hosted by Perimeter Institute and the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo.
