Biography

Brendan hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he completed his honours B.Sc. in physics and his diploma in electrical and computer engineering at Dalhousie University. His research experiences before coming to the IQC include work in the fields of condensed matter, molecular biophysics and biomedical imaging. His work in physics has been primarily theoretical, although he has had experience with experimental research as well.

His other areas of interest (and some minor publications) outside of the physical sciences include ethical philosophy, political science and amateur journalism.

Brendan recently began his masters candidacy under the supervision of Dr. Frank Wilhelm analysing superconducting electrical circuits and their potential for microwave photon absorption.
